In addition to camping, fishing, picnic spots, and nature trails, the 305-acre park features a nine-hole golf course and a driving range. The park is named for Louis LeFleur, a French-Canadian explorer who established a trading post on the banks of the Pearl River in the late 1700s. The City of Jackson was originally known as "LeFleur's Bluff." Today Mississippi's vibrant capital city combines the warmth and charm of its rich cultural heritage with exciting activities and attractions and contemporary lifestyles. Visitors to Jackson discover a diversity of museums, unlimited shopping and dining, and a calendar of events packed with activities to suit every mood. The 28 sites available for tent and RV camping are equipped with water and electrical hook-ups. The developed camping area also features a central sewage dumping station and a bathhouse with hot showers. All campsites are available for advanced reservations. Smoking is not allowed in any Mississippi government building. Ten shaded primitive tent sites located near the lake and within walking distance to water and showers are available. This area is ideal for scout groups.

Nestled in the shade of towering hardwood trees, Lake Lincoln State Park is the quintessence of serenity. Located in the northeast corner of Lincoln County, the park's close proximity to Interstate 55, U.S. Highway 51 and State Highway 27 provides easy access for visitors.
There are several options when it comes to staying overnight. Lake Lincoln offers 71 RV campsites, 1 cabin, and three cottages. Our online reservation system is hosted by Reserve America.
There are 71 developed sites available for RV camping featuring concrete pads, concrete picnic tables, grills, electrical hook-ups, and a sewage dumping station.
Twenty-two campsites are located lake-side. There are two bathhouses with hot showers, central air and heat, and a laundry facility is available for your convenience.
All campsites are available for advance reservations. Monthly camping may be available. Please check with the park office for availability.

This park is literally in the middle of Jackson, Mississippi in a beautiful setting. The lake was lovely and we saw herons, cranes, turtles and deer. The sites are right on the lake and the shower house was convenient and clean. It’s also secure; you have to have a code to enter and exit the park. The only problem was the sounds of the city. We heard sirens all night (it was Halloween night) and there is a recycling plant nearby and the sounds of crushing metal were really loud until about 11. In our tents we had to resort to earplugs. Great location. Picnic tables and fire rings.
LegendWe stayed here for one night as we were just passing through on a longer road trip. This was one of the better state park campgrounds in Mississippi that we have visited. The sites were clean and spacious. The ladies bathroom was a complete disaster though. It appears as it if hadn’t been cleaned in days and all the toilets were “full”. Gross! The dump station also smelled horrendous, so we just kept driving as we didn’t have much to dump. This would normally be a 3 star for me, but giving 4 stars compared to other MS State Parks north of this location.

We arrived late. Interaction with host was pleasant. Cooked dinner and went to bed. Played a game of disc golf in the morning which was great. But the 15$ camp charge we just weren't used to haha.
GuideIt’s close to lots of restaurants and any other store you would need anything from. The lake water is clean for the most part. There is a park right next to the campgrounds with different things to do such as disc golf and soccer goals.

ScoutWe camped here Sept. 20-22 while we were in town to volunteer at the Sanderson Farms PGA golf tournament. I was very impressed with the amenities such as the laundry room, pool and bath house. The bath house was very clean and has private showers. The staff was very helpful. It is located right on the Ross Barnett Reservoir so it is a beautiful area. If you need anything, there is a Kroger grocery store right across the street from the campground. I was very satisfied and will stay there again for future tournaments.
GuideWe have camped the last 2 years for the local half Ironman race (Deep South Triathlon) and it’s more than just convenient, it’s perfect for what we want. This campground is right on the reservoir, but immediately near any restaurant, grocery, event space you want.
You can just roll in, find a spot and let the office know you’re there, or better yet, reserve a spot and make sure there is room for you. The sites are clean, level and I believe they all have hookups up to 50amp.

TravelerThis campground looked wonderful on the surface. Parts of it is very well cared for & maintained, but a large area needs serious attention. Our site was in that area. The concrete pads were badly broken & uneven, garbage littered the whole area, one of the electric posts was broken, and the bathroom was one of the nastiest we've encountered in our 8 years of travel. Moldy; broken tiles, countertop, towel dispenser, & trim; caution tape over both shower stalls in the women's; and a healthy ant freeway running thru one of the stalls. This bathroom obviously has been in decay for several years.
GuideThis is a really convenient location outside Jackson. It's clean and easy pull ins. The lake is nice if you have a boat but it can also be really windy.

GuideWe will definitely come back to this campground. When you come to the campground , nightly rentals are first come first serve. You drive back and pick your available spot and go back to the office to pay. We were lucky to get a beautiful water spot this time. It’s clean and spots are a concrete pad. Right outside the campground is a Kroger across the street. It’s convenient to lots of things but tucked away as a quiet getaway.
ScoutWe were planning to stay a second night in a better location on the resevoir… so we moved to avoid the sound, fury and allergens of a half dozen lawn tractor mowers circling us. The management notified us that there would be a $20. Fee for changing spaces plus the fees for an additional night and were asked to return to our original site until check in time if we didn’t want to pay the additional 20 bucks.
We moved to the bathhouse, showered, hung out by the pool until check out time and departed for another campground. Sometimes management treats guests according to the rules of an HOA, versus the hospitality industry. It was kind of sad.
We did enjoy the site, the pool and the water views. We didn’t enjoy the sound of traffic and grounds maintenance early in the morning. We might return one day, but much wiser, indeed.
ScoutIt would be perfect if there sewer on-site. Only complaint is I have to go to dump station for black.gray water.
TravelerThis MS state park is smack dab in the middle of Jackson, MS. It is snuggled in the woods along a river. The bathrooms and sites were clean. Every site has a beautiful view. We stayed next to the river and encountered wildlife right away - gators, rabbits, birds. The trails are lovely, easy walks through cypress swamps and dry forest. One way the trail leads to a dam with old structures and great fishing opportunities, the other fork leads you to the museum of natural science! My children loved that!!! Upon checkout we had a nice converaation with the ranger. We cant wait to go back!
GuideWe just stayed overnight but it was very nice. Easily accessible from highway but felt like we were not in the middle of the city. Went for a nice walk this morning and saw a gator. This will be a great place for us to kickstart our trips since we typically leave right after work and can only drive a little that first night.
ScoutWe enjoyed our night at LeFleurs Bluff. We were surrounded by giant RVs but it proved to be a very quiet respite in the middle of the city. Keep your check in code handy as it is necessary info when arriving or departing via the security gate. We hope to return one day and stay longer!
The previous night we tried to reserve a spot here online around 3 or 4pm. As this wasn’t possible on we found another campground in Ridgeland with a more flexible reservation system and a swimming pool! It was more like a gold course on the river than a camp ground but we were pleased to have options.
ScoutPark is right near Jackson, but you can’t even tell while you’re there. We were originally assigned site 2 after providing the office with the size of our rig, but found that it was much smaller than expected when we arrived. Site 2 would be good for up to a 26 footer, but not much larger. The office folks were very accommodating and we ended up staying at site 10 and it was great! Not too close to any other site, faces the water but not right on the water. Also very close to the facilities but I can’t give a review since we didn’t use them. Thunderstorm came through our second night there, dumped a metric ass ton of rain but all trails and roads were just fine the next morning. The only big con I have for site 10 is that one of the benches for the picnic table was missing/broken. Benches are cement base with a wooden seat and looks like someone not so great at backing their rig may have taken the bench out. Only thing left of it is two cement pillars with some rebar sticking out - bent over and not sharp so it doesn’t pose a safety hazard. We saw a small 5-6 foot gator in the lake on day one and fish are very active. Will definitely be back.
ScoutFound this sweet campground traveling cross country. Quiet, large level concrete pad, 30 & 50 amp, water, dump station, $35 after tax. Even tho it was in town,. It was so quiet you could hear the birds on the pond. Gravel road entrance is decent. Only drawback was the burn ban.
GuideStopped here as a halfway point to our destination. Stayed two nights and now wish we did more. The campgrounds were spacious and level. The trails were Peaceful and I loved all the nature you see everywhere. Had my morning coffee and watched a 7ft gator swimming and paying us no mind. Most amazing thing I've seen. I'm a city dweller that loves nature so this was a first for me with the gator sighting in the wild. Restrooms were clean, no luck fishing but that's okay it was just great just sitting there. Love that it was close to town because one night we decided to just go out for dinner. Very quiet and I'd stay here again and again.

TravelerI have not camped at this site due to the location but I have fished the lakes here. The larger horseshoe lake has several piers to fish from and Mayes lake has a lot of under water structure. The Pearl River runs right behind these lakes so there are normally some alligators around. There are RV hook ups available and it does have a nice play ground next to the camping sites. There is another very large playground where the museum of science and children's museum are located. I recommend both of those museums if you have kids. There is a 9 hole golf course which is also a part of the state park.
GuideThis park is in the middle of Jackson, but we couldn’t tell from the serenity of our camping site. We were situated right on the water and enjoyed a breathtaking sunset. We had fun riding bikes around the lake and my kids enjoyed the playground. Bathrooms were about what you’d expect in a park - serviceable but not pristine. No problem with hot water in the shower. Children’s museum and other attractions were in the immediate vicinity, but we were just in for an overnight stay and didn’t take advantage.
