Big Foot Horse Trail and Camp - USFS is located near varied terrain with forests and trails. The area experiences temperatures ranging from the 40s in winter to the 90s in summer. Visitors can explore the nearby De Soto National Forest, offering hiking and horseback riding opportunities.

This horse trail is approximately 23.7 miles long and moderate in difficulty. Big Foot Horse Trail consists of four loops ranging in length from 5 to 11 miles. A ride of almost any desired length can be made by combinations of these loops. Most of the trails run parallel to roads, making it possible to enter the trail at any point.
Facilities at the camp include: parking areas; hitching rails; primitive camping; sanitary facilities (chemical toilets); drinking water for horses only (not for human consumption); picnic tables; and grills. Two ponds and Tuxachanie Creek provide water for animal use.
Big Foot Horse Trail and Camp are open year-round unless weather conditions require the area to be closed. No user fees required.

Only blue, yellow and green trail loops are open. Camp closed due to hurricane damage; day use only, no overnight stay.

Take state HWY 49 to Saucier, MS. Take HWY 67 east to four-way intersection and get on County Road 412 north three miles to Forest Road 440. Go east 1 mile to trailhead.
