Twelve miles west of campgrounds around Sisseton, Traverse Co Park arranges its sites in a circular layout around the property. Each electrical hookup serves two camping units, providing power but no water or sewer connections at individual sites. The county-managed facility includes a dump station for RV waste disposal and pit toilets throughout the grounds.
Lake access drives much of the appeal here, with a small beach area and boat launch providing direct water access. Campers can also find additional options at City Park about six miles southwest. The shared electrical setup means coordinating with neighboring campers becomes part of the experience.
