Fishing, paddling, and swimming draw campers to Echo Lake Campground, a US Forest Service site set within Superior National Forest near Orr, Minnesota. The campground has a beach, though it's on the smaller side overall. Bugs can be heavy, particularly flies and mosquitoes, so bring repellent. Generators are in use at times, so expect some noise. The season runs May 7 through October 15, and rigs up to 50 feet can access the drive-in sites.

From Orr, take St. Louis County 23 to Buyck (16 miles). At Buyck, County 23 turns into County 24. Continue on County 24 for 4 miles to the Echo Trail (County Road 116). Turn right, 0.8 miles to campground entrance road on left.
