Tucked into R.J.D. Memorial Hardwood State Forest along the Zumbro River bottoms, this DNR Forestry-managed campground sits within a hardwood forest in southeastern Minnesota. The campground runs from May through October. Dispersed camping in the surrounding area is reportedly difficult to locate, and mosquitoes can be heavy during summer months. Campers planning to explore the broader network here may also want to check Zumbro Bottoms Central — R.J.D. Memorial Hardwood State Forest and other nearby sites, as several established campgrounds cluster within a couple of miles along the bottoms.
