Long Lake County Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Spring-fed and cold, Long Lake draws repeat visitors to this Bagley-area county campground season after season, with trout fishing, a sandy beach, and a boat launch anchoring most stays. The lake has a fishing dock, paddle boats, and a row boat available for rent. Sites with full hookups accommodate RVs up to 55 feet, while tent campers have access to walk-in sites, including one with a filtered view of the lake and a direct path to the shore.

Layout matters here. Most drive-in sites sit up the hill from the water, which means a noticeable walk to the beach. The campground runs May 8 through September 20, and the busier summer weeks bring crowds and noise. Management enforces quiet hours and prohibits ATVs on the property, and security is present during peak season. Some sites run on the smaller side, so it's worth confirming dimensions when reserving.

Nearby, Long Lake (Clearwater County Park) sits just over a mile northeast, and Lake Ozawindib Cabin — Itasca State Park provides a cabin option within Itasca State Park a few miles southeast. "Facilities are clean and well taken care of," notes Elizabeth D., who had visited four times by the time she wrote her review. Pets are allowed. Reservations are available, and booking ahead is advisable for summer weekends given how quickly the campground fills.

Beautiful Area

This will be our 4th time up here. Great Place to stay at. Lake is beautiful and good fishing. Has a boat dock and parking. Site we were in is kinda smaller but we made it work. Facilities are clean and well taken care of.

Campground with amenities

Nice campground with all the amenities. Gets quite loud though. Great location to a lot of lakes and hikes. We stayed at a walk in site that was nice and private.

Great Lake but it can get quite busy at the campground

We camp here every year. We enjoy trout fishing and swimming. The lake is a spring fed lake so the water is pretty cold. I usually float on a air mattress. This campsite can get pretty busy and some parent don’t supervise their kids very closely. Management does enforce quiet hours and no ATVs are allowed. Most campsites are up the hill and can be quite a walk to the lake. There’s security during the busy season. Electric and water hook ups are available. Management is very friendly.

Serene Lake location!

Very nice place for tent or RV camping. Tenting is $30 and sites with hookups go up $2 per each additional utility. For tenting the nicest site is a walk in site that even has a filtered view of the lake and a path die to the shore. Nice kids area as well as a sandy beach, fishing dock, and boat launch. Only boats for rent are 2 paddle boats and a row boat.
