Where the Chippewa River curves through Benson, Ambush City Park operates as a municipal campground from May through October. The City of Benson manages this drive-in facility with full hookups for RVs up to 35 feet, including water, sewer, and electric connections at each site.
Railroad tracks run directly across the road, bringing occasional train noise during overnight hours. The campground borders the river on one side, while a municipal water park and mini golf course sit on the opposite bank. Fire rings come standard with sites, and the facility includes restrooms with showers and a dump station. For extended exploration, Swift Falls County Park provides additional hiking opportunities. Reservations are available, and pets are welcome throughout the park.
