Gijikiki Lake

Fishing and kayaking enthusiasts will find boat-in access to Gijikiki Lake through the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This established campground charges $16-$22 per night and allows campfires for evening warmth after paddling.

One reviewer describes camping on the moss-covered island in the lake's center, noting uneven ground but complete solitude during their stay. The boat-in requirement means campers must paddle their gear to reach sites, with swimming available in the lake waters. Nearby options include South Arm Knife Lake for additional wilderness camping experiences.

Alone

It was out 2nd night out in the boundary waters and we were completely alone on this lake and camped on the island in the middle making one of my favorite campsites although it does have some uneven ground but was well worth it and was a very moss covered island
