Boondocks sits adjacent to the Boondocks Bar and Grill along the highway corridor leading toward Voyageurs National Park, with the Rainy Lake Visitor Center roughly 30 minutes out. The campground has 21 gravel sites with 30 and 50 amp electric and water hookups, a dump station at the exit, and pet walking areas behind the property. Sites 1–14 accommodate big rigs, and at least one or two pull-throughs are available. The campground opens earlier in the season than many nearby options, which matters for campers planning spring itineraries. Woodenfrog Campground and other public sites in the area fill up or stay closed into late April, making this a practical fallback. International Falls, about 20 minutes away, has shopping and laundry facilities.
