Beautiful destination

Little Bay De Noc, Lake Michigan access with a pier. Only a few campsites, but includes group fire pit, playground and proximity to Pictured Rocks, 1 hour. Lots of hiking and great motorized non-motorized off-road trails.

Professionally Done!

Located just off the highway but out of earshot of the major noise, this campground is awesome!

The sites are well maintained and we required no additional leveling. Sturdy and maintained picnic table at each site. Electric at our site -39- was error free. Water pressure is excellent. Wonderful…

We love this campground!

We love Tourist Park, and will definitely be coming back! It’s on the back side of the city of Gwinn, which is a smaller more run down little town, 18 miles from Marquette. But this little campground is well kempt! Quiet and relaxing, tucked in the woods with a nice hiking trail, picnic tables,…

Rowdy Campground, Unprofessional Management.

The campground itself was kinda trashed + kids toys everywhere. The bathrooms were dirty and “out of order” like feces on the floor dirty. They had live music every night during the summer, which started at 7 and went well past midnight. We stayed for a couple hours before packing up and leaving…

Great Place!

This was such a nice camp ground & wonderful owners!!! We had a birthday party and our site was right across from the nice clean park and a pool that wasn't open yet! But we will be back to enjoy that! We had full hook up and everything was literally a breeze!

Beautiful spot to camp

We got one of the spots closer to the road but turned out great! These spots don't have quite the lake view but seem to feel more quiet and secluded. The lake views were gorgeous, amenities fine. We found this after leaving another spot closer to Marquette that felt uninviting despite all the…

Excellent Escape!

If you're looking for an off-the-grid escape this is it.  The hike-in/paddle in camping spots are equipped with a picnic table and a firepit, everything else is up to you.  I have been going here yearly for the last 10ys and absolutely love it!  The only downside is the fishing has gone downhill…

Wasn't Expecting Much, but Blown Away!

On the shores of Independence Lake, just south of Lake Superior, sits this gorgeous, sparkling clean county park with a well-managed campground. Wasn’t expecting much, so was blown away by the facilities for the low price. Lots of site options: non-electric, with electric only, with full hookups,…

Camping in the Wild at its best!

This is my absolute favorite place to camp, hike, kayak, fish, and just get away from it all. If you want seclusion, you can find it here with many remote campsites that are only accessible through the water or overland by hiking the trails in the park.

The park has 2 rustic cabins and 2 yurts…

Very quiet and clean. Owners were friendly. Stayed late for ya to arrive and personally escorted us to our site which was next level customer service. We will be back.

Close to ATV trails

We have stayed here 2x. Atv trails are across the interstate. It’s was a great time! This campground is meticulously taken care of by the owners. first time we stayed here it was quiet during the school season. Mostly adult couples. Second time was summer break and there were a lot of children. I…

Wonderful small park

This was our 1st stop in the UP and we couldn’t be more pleased. We originally had a 10 day reservation and enjoyed it so much that we extended it for another 10 days. Beautiful natural swimming area in the rear of the property and we picked blueberries and raspberries right here on premise. Hope…

We like it there!

It’s a County Park in Big Bay on beautiful Lake Independence. They have full hook up sites to primitive sites. You can walk/ride bikes to a convenience store, gas station, laundry, and restaurant. Golf driving range behind the convenience store, bucket of balls $5 and you don’t have to pick…
