Overview

Kritters Campground is a family-oriented private campground located in Newberry in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, on M-123 near Tahquamenon Falls. The property spans 40 acres of wooded land and offers a range of site types from primitive tent sites to full-hookup pull-through RV sites and cabin/cottage lodging. It serves as a central base for eastern UP attractions.

Facilities

The campground offers 50 pull-through campsites (grass pads) with 20/30/50 amp electric service, water hookups, and 8 full hookup (sewer) sites accommodating RVs up to 75 feet. A dump station is available. Modern restroom and shower facilities, a laundromat, and a camp store (convenience items, snacks, souvenirs, ice cream) are on site. An enclosed pavilion serves as a group and activity space. Three cabin/cottage lodging units (Superior Cabin, Huron Cabin, Yooper Cottage) are available year-round. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. Fire rings and picnic tables are at every campsite.

Recreation

On-site recreation includes a playground, sand volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoes, and cornhole. A mile-long nature trail winds through 40 acres of woods. Nearby access to snowmobile and ORV trails is available. Fishing is listed as a park feature. The campground also notes group areas for organized activities.
