Kestelwoods Campground

Spent a week up at Kestelwoods Campground July 2nd - 9th 23. I cannot say enough good things about this campground. First of all it was such a peaceful place, not very full, we were able to get booked over the holiday week, two weeks before the 4th of July. This campground caters to trail bikers, kayakers & other groups. With that being said the bikers were amazingly respectful, typically they didn’t fire the bike up until 9:30-10am and were in for the evening no later than 10 pm but typically before.

This is a great campground with camp store right down the road.

I did a dual sport motorcycle ride out of this campground. The area is great for riding with lots of trails and roads through the forests.

The campground is clean and well maintained. There are restrooms, showers and electricity.

I would go back again as the owners were very nice and accommodating.

This place was great for a family trip! Clean showers and bathrooms, large sites, nice layout of the grounds, beautiful heated pool, and super friendly staff! In the Manistee National Forest, close to major trailheads, and right between two prime access points to the Pine river for canoeing and kayaking. Less than a mile to river trip rental locations also.

Awesome campground with lots of fun for all. Love the area, check it out, and raft/kayak the Pine River while you’re there.
