Countryside Campground & Cabins

RV air conditioners hum through the night at this family-oriented campground in Harrison, where sites cluster together in a layout that encourages neighborly interactions. Countryside Campground & Cabins operates seasonally from May through October, offering full hookups for RVs alongside tent camping options and rental cabins on 40 acres of maintained grounds.

The campground draws families with children through its heated pool, playground equipment, and organized activities including Saturday evening hay rides and foam parties during peak season. Walking trails wind through the property, connecting to a fenced dog park with waste stations and leading to a baseball field. Sites around number 40 provide more space and shade coverage, while the general layout keeps campers within easy walking distance of the camp store, which stocks camping supplies, apparel, and ice cream.

Bathroom facilities receive consistent praise from visitors, with multiple reviewers highlighting cleanliness standards. The campground delivers firewood by tractor bucket for $30, and WiFi reaches throughout the property. Tracey L. notes the grounds are "the CLEANEST campground I have ever been to" with freshly washed picnic tables and well-maintained grass areas where mats are not permitted.

New ownership took over operations in 2023, maintaining the established reservation system that allows online check-in. For broader regional options, campers can explore campgrounds around Farwell. Generators are prohibited, making the ambient sound of RV air conditioning units the primary nighttime noise consideration.

Closed For the Season

This campground is closed for the season from October 16, 2025 through April 30, 2026.

Labor Day Weekend

We really enjoyed our stay. We brought our travel trailer and my brother and his family stayed in a cabin. Very well run campground with plenty for all of our kids to do. We were extremely impressed with the owners and all of their assistance and personal touches. We were told they just took over ownership of the campground last year and this is their 1st season as owners. We will definitely be back!

Nice little RV park

It was the prefect RV park. The staff is very accommodating and the amenities are amazing. You can bring a tent if you like, but you will hear the gentle hum of RV AC units all night (I thought it was generators, but the staff informed me generators are not permitted). The sites are a little cramped, but part of the fun of camping in a campground like this one is meeting the neighbors. Pretty nice RV park in the middle of Michigan.

Kid and Pet Friendly with technology hip owners.

W.O.W. This is the CLEANEST campground I have ever been to. Seriously not 1 cigarette but or candy wrapper on my site when I arrived. Picnic tables are freshly washed. Sites around#40 are spacious and shaded all day which was awesome. No mats allowed but it was great as the grass is green and lush. Store has apparel, camping tools, and ice cream. Kids ran there every day and it is affordable and friendly. Pool is super clean as well as the bathrooms. Loved the online check in process so there was no delays and we just pulled right into our site. If you have pets there is a fenced in dog park with pick up bags and mowed trails for daily walking or biking. We will be back!!!  WIFI too!

Our new favorite campground!

We camped at Countryside Campground & Cabins several times last year and are headed back again this year. Countryside is the cleanest, most impeccably maintained campground I have ever visited. There are activities for the kids, a playground, heated pool, hiking/bike trail, and even a baseball field. The owners are super friendly and are always willing to help!
