This recreation area is part of Birch Hill Dam
We’ve been coming here for 3 years and we always have a blast. It is so convenient to camp right on the lake. We can drop our paddle boards in any time and explore the lake. There is a tiny swimming beach on the campground side and we try to stay as close as possible to it.
Loved this place. Campsites had nice spacing in between. Perfect sized lake to swim and kayak
Decent campground. Sites are spaced out. No really good swimming area, unless you go to the other side of the lake to the public swimming area. Bathrooms are kept pretty clean. Campsites are large and are spaced well apart. We like going here.
This campground has two sides. The side we stayed on didn’t have a dishwashing station. The nearest one was over a mile away in the other half of the campground making it very inconvenient. The bathrooms also were In poor shape and not well cleaned. Over the course of our 3 night stay, they just got worse with overflowing toilets and trash. The lake is nice and the beach is well kept. The camp sites were raked out and the fire pit was free of ash when we arrived. It was a quiet place and people mostly kept to themselves.
Nice spot with a lake and large beach area.
