Quarry Ledge Campground is a seasonal private campground situated on Somes Sound on Mount Desert Island, Maine, operated by Modern America Campgrounds. The property occupies a former granite quarry site and offers waterfront access, minutes from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It accommodates tent campers, RV/trailer campers, and cabin guests.
Facilities
Site types include waterfront tent platforms (12′×16′) with 20-amp electric hookups and fire pits, shaded RV back-in sites with 20- or 30-amp service and picnic tables, and rustic cabins with electricity, mini-fridge, and linens. Heated bathhouses feature hot showers and flush toilets. A heated swimming pool is on-site. Firewood and ice are available for purchase at the office.
Recreation
Guests can launch kayaks and paddleboards from the private on-site boat dock; kayak and paddleboard rentals are available. Fishing is accessible from the shore and rocks. The campground's position on Somes Sound provides direct waterfront access for paddling and swimming.
