Freeport 24hr RV Parking

Shopping and dining along Main Street in Freeport draw RV travelers to this city-operated overnight parking lot, which sits within walking distance of the LL Bean flagship store and a stretch of restaurants and retail. No hookups, no restrooms. Just pavement and a place to stop.

The lot is not fully level, though reviewers consistently describe it as close enough for a comfortable night. Campers report good cell reception throughout. Crowd patterns vary by season: visits in mid-September have found only a handful of other rigs on site, while summer months bring heavier use. During local festivals, passenger cars have been known to occupy RV spaces, which can reduce availability unexpectedly. Laura M. sums up the experience as "no amenities, just a safe and quiet place to sleep."

One significant caveat worth noting as of May 2026: the upper portion of the lot was fenced off for a construction office, leaving the lower section with space for roughly six to eight rigs if vehicles are positioned cooperatively. Adjacent lots have been closed for nearby condo and apartment construction, and road disruptions around town are ongoing. Campers planning to visit should confirm current lot conditions before arriving.

Freeport Village Campground and Cedar Haven Campground are nearby alternatives for those wanting more traditional amenities. This lot works best for self-contained RV travelers making a one-night stop tied to a town visit.
