Visitors to the north shore camp area should expect a more primitive atmosphere than the south shore facilities. There is no easy turn-around for large vehicles. The camp sites include a fire ring, lantern post, and picnic table. There are no restroom or trash receptacles at this North Shore location.
There are a number of picnic tables near the South Shore boat launch that do include a restroom and trash receptacles.

Directions
To North Shore Boat Launch/day-use area: From Homer, Louisiana take Louisiana Hwy 9 north 19 miles to Forest Road 902 and turn right. Travel 3.2 miles to the boat launch loop. Caution, FR 902 is not paved and is not recommended for use by motor homes, travel trailers, or vehicles not equipped to be used on a bumpy gravel road.
