KOA Campground Russell Springs

KOA Campground Russell Springs operates seasonally from late March through early November, providing full hookup sites for RVs up to 60 feet. The campground sits near Lake Cumberland, a large reservoir that draws visitors for water recreation. Sites include electric, water, and sewer connections, with wooden fence dividers between spots creating defined boundaries.

The facility maintains clean restrooms and shower buildings, plus amenities like a swimming pool, playground, and game room for families. Staff accommodates long-term stays alongside nightly camping. The location works well as a base for exploring Mammoth Cave National Park, though campers should expect a drive on less-traveled roads to reach the property. For different accommodations, Pinecrest RV Park Resort operates nearby with its own amenities.

Remote, Quiet, and Beautiful

We camped here when we did a trip to Mammoth Cave NP. This campground has plenty of campsites and some cabins. They offer long term stays here too. The campground is close to Lake Cumberland which is a beautiful very large man made lake. The campground itself has nice and clean bathrooms and showers and the staff is very nice and friendly. It has a pool, playground, and a nice game room. It is a bit off the beaten path but it was a pleasure staying here. The campsites are set up nicely with plenty of room and they even have small wooden fence dividers. Nice little touch.
