Mount Vernon, KY…Disappointed in KOA’s

The office never seemed to be open. We needed propane upon leaving but couldn’t find anyone. Sites are small, not level and in need of some upkeep. The hookups were poorly placed and the electric hookup was loose. When we plugged in it recessed back into the unit and difficult to plug into. They were to pick up trash at 11 but by putting it b/4 11 I always seemed to miss it.

Not a Fan

We stayed here with an Airstream Caravan of Kentucky. Our second KOA on this trip and in all of our RVing. Sites have utilities setup where you share with your neighbor. Essentially putting them at your front door. No privacy at all. Confirmed our practice of avoiding KOA’s.

Perfect for our granddaughter

Stopped overnight on a trip north. Would have happily stayed a few days. The pool, miniature golf and bounce pad were a huge hit with our granddaughter. Sites aren’t large but everything is well maintained and the staff is very helpful.

Sites 22-25

Campground entrance is a pretty big hill. Signs to direct you to the office, but office can be hard to find. Host drove us to campsite. I have. 33 foot trailer and my sites 22-25 are on a hill. I could not pull thrugh the site because of hill. Could not level trailer because when I got it level stairs and front stabilizers would not reach the ground. Employees were very accommodating and got me a new site and helped guide me into new back in site. People awesome just watch your trailer in these sites.

Quiet, Clean, Friendly

KOA staff was very friendly, constantly keeping the park clean and welcoming guest. Very nice. It was a quiet park on Labor Day weekend. Things to know. Big hill to get up to the KOA. Almost all paths are gravel. If it were totally full it would be tight between many spaces. Overall nice campground good location could drive 30-45 for things to do.

We did struggle with what to do in the area. We don’t own ATVs or a boat. Turned out to be a good weekend but do your homework to ensure it meets your needs.

Okay tent site

Got here just after dark. Was a bit difficult finding the office. The office was closed but they left me information on my assigned site and a map. The tent sites are off a gravel, poorly maintained path that was difficult to locate in the dark. The site itself was okay but on a hill. The location was convenient and my pup enjoyed using the enclosed dog area to run around.

Best staff, super clean, lots of activities

Easy pull through RV sites, some with patios, some extra room, mostly shaded. Kids enjoyed the pool, Gaga ball, playground, jumping pillow, and passport activities. Overall an excellent stay!

Entrance and exit are a bit steep, just take it slow :)

Very nice!

We were very happy with this campground. It seemed a bit pricey for full hook-up but was very nice. The campground was very clean and well maintained. The entrance to the campground is surprisingly steep.
