Make way for rest and recreation and enjoy all Buffalo Trace offers. It’s loaded with over 18 different activities. Pack some food, use our grills, and hang out with your friends and family.

Got more than a few hours? Reserve a cabin or campsite and get-a-away.

This park’s name comes from the path that herds of buffalo once migrated across the area. Later, the earliest settlers used this path as a wagon trail into the frontier.

The land that is now Buffalo Trace Park was deeded to the Town of Palmyra for the express purpose of using it as a park. Harrison County Parks operates Buffalo Trace Park under a long term lease agreement with the Town of Palmyra.
