Goodland Rest Area I-70

Surprisingly quiet considering it’s right next to the I70 (or I was that tired I didn’t notice). First to pull in for the night but when we woke up there was another Camper B RV, 2 cars, and fill up on the semi spots.

Bathrooms were open all night, older and a bit dirty, but serve the needed function. No other services available.

Nice quiet,meaning no bothersome people. Road noise from i70 of course but tune it out with some headphones. Very nice rest stop. And the night skies are amazing here.

A good stop for waiting out a storm overnight. Bathrooms are open 24 hours and clean. Has plenty of picnic areas with water hand pumps and trash cans. Next to highway so plenty of traffic noise. Felt comfortable staying the night. Would come back. Single female

Very nice free roadside rest stop camp right off the highway.

We felt safe, of course there's going to be highway noise. We are on a road trip after all :-) Nice bathrooms, dump station with water.

We were traveling from Utah back to Florida. As we were entering Kansas eastbound on I 70 is a summer thunderstorm popped up ahead of us and was moving through Goodland. We stopped at this rest stop which happens to be the Kansas welcome center in addition to what seems to be the norm for all rest stops along I 70 in Kansas. Each rest area has a covered picnic table, grill, firing, and water. The restrooms and each of the rest areas are open 24/7. The welcome center office at mile marker eight is open from 8 AM to 5 PM with free coffee. Camping is allowed for one night only at one of the picnic table areas although you have to park along the road and not enter the grass. There is some noise from the highway, and also from the tractor trailers coming in and out or if they are part, some of the diesel engines are left running. The noise did not bother us because we were so tired, we fell asleep to the “singing” of the trucks engines

Have stayed here multiple times during trips to CO. Yes there’s some road noise from the highway, but you really can’t go wrong given the amenities and location

This was a great location to stay for the night. There are several of these rest stops along this highway. One night only parking is allowed.

There are restrooms, picnic tables, grill, beautiful sunset/sunrise, dump station, water spigots, trash cans, and vending machines. Plenty of room for the kids to run around also.

This is located right off the highway so you will have highway noise at night. We used a fan but could still hear some noise. It doesn’t bother us.

Overnight camping allows parking only on the designated road, no parking in the grass. There were several other cars/campervans/RVs parked overnight when we were there.

Definitely a great spot for a quick overnight.
