Most are grassy and sunny." Wildlife encounters, particularly with raccoons, are commonly reported. Campground cleanliness receives generally positive reviews, though bathroom maintenance can be inconsistent during peak periods. Noise levels vary by location, with some campers reporting occasional issues with enforcement of quiet hours at busier campgrounds.

    Mystic Waters Campground

Great campground for RVs and cabins

This is a great campground for RVs and cabins, but unfortunately not for tents as the highway 69 is too noisy. Also there are not a lot of trees.

    Johnny Appleseed Campground

    Great location, but no privacy

The campground is almost in the middle of Fort Wayne. Most of the sites are very close and no vegetation to allow any privacy. On the positive side, the bathrooms were very nice and clean. The staff was also very helpful.

    Mississinewa Lake Campground

    Great for families

This is a popular spot for locals and I was lucky to get the last electric site with less than a days notice. Every other site seemed to have a large gathering of family or friends. The restrooms/ showers are quite dated and sparse. I only have one bar with Verizon.

    Wabash City RV Park

A quick stop with utilities for cheap

I give this three stars not because there's nothing really wrong about it. It's just a grassy parking lot with utilities and a corner grassy knoll with shade. $16/night with electric and water it's worth at least three stars.

You may want to use GPS coordinates to the entrance.

THE QUIRKS You MUST check in at the Water Treatment Plant by 4PM. You do not need to have picked a site, yet. Complete the typical paperwork and you'll be given keys to unlock the electrical box and a key to turn on the water. They keys work at any site.

(See the pic showing the location of the RV park (red) and the Water Treatment Plant (blue).

When you check out, leave the keys in the box at the exit.

Our electrical pedestal had no 30amp receptacle. If you have a 30amp plug, bring a 50amp adapter. There are two 20amp outlets available.

The pedestals are between sites, which aren't really close. You will need a long (30-40'?) extension cord suited to your amperage to reach the pedestal. The water is clear and tastes great.

Trash and tank dump are available at the Water Treatment Plant. Be aware their hours are 7AM- 4PM Monday-Friday and 7AM- 3PM Saturday.

Basic toilets are located just outside the "park" at the dead end of S. Carol. That's also where the walking path along the river is.

    Pike Lake County Campground

    Pike Lake Campground

Warsaw Indiana's Pike Lake Campground has campsites available for seasonal, monthly, weekly, and nightly rentals for RVs, campers, and trailers only. There are about 45 tightly-packed sites with shower/restroom facilities. Located right next to the lake and park, there's a lot to see and do to keep you busy during your stay.

We stayed for a night in mid-May while traveling through Indiana. Nearly every site (if not all) was occupied, but very quiet for a Saturday night. I'm thinking this location is primarily monthly/seasonal rentals and a bit too early in the season for the renters to be camping at their sites. Everything was clean and well-maintained. What few people were there seemed friendly. The sardine-style RV park setup doesn't offer much for privacy, however.

I'm surprised we were able to get a site since it seemed like a spot that caters to mostly longterm campers, but it's still early in the season. For me, it's a convenient, safe, and clean stop when traveling through Indiana.

    Tippecanoe River Run

    Owners dont care

Have been a regular weekend camper here for 5 years and had a family emergency last month so had to cancel. They will not refund money because it wasn't 2 weeks for reservation. It was not the best campground to begin with. Bathrooms always dirty, no pool, nowhere on site to get ice or snacks. They let all the seasonal people just walk thru your site and play music very loud and one has a dog that barks constantly. We enjoyed it because it was close to home. Will not visit here again. No one ever comes to explain the set up to you they just expect you to figure out the sites yourself.
