Keithsburg Riverside Campground

Right on the Mississippi River, this municipal campground puts campers within 15 feet of the water at its riverside sites. The facility accommodates RVs up to 50 feet with both 30 and 50 amp electrical hookups plus water connections. About 20 sites sit directly on the riverbank, while another 20-30 sites occupy the interior areas with decent spacing between spots.

Trees provide shade in portions of the campground, though coverage varies by site. Matthew K. notes the campground "has some trees so it's shaded in spots." The restrooms and shower facilities require a short walk from most sites but reviewers consistently report clean conditions. Evening gatherings occur occasionally but don't typically create noise issues.

The town center sits just three blocks away, offering a bar and grill plus a Casey's gas station for supplies. At $17 per night for water and electric hookups, the rates stay competitive for riverside camping. The campground welcomes tent campers, pop-ups, and travel trailers alike. Campers seeking additional options in the region can explore campsites near Keithsburg or venture south to Big River State Forest Campground for a more wooded setting.

This spot works well for RV travelers wanting river access and basic amenities without premium pricing.

Great river view

Nice campground, we have camped there on several occasions. Tent, pop up, and travel trailer. Shower house is a little bit of a walk but not terrible. Bout a 3 block walk to several bars/restaurant a caseys gas station. Everyone was friendly. Would recommend.

Right up on the river

This campground is right on the river. They have 30 and 50 amp hookups. Is a popular place to camp in the area. At night there is some parties going now but never too loud to be a problem. Host is located right when you pull in. All camp sits are evenly distributed. Decent amount of space between spots. Has some trees so it’s shaded in spots. Town located very close has a bar and grill with really good food and a gas station right next door.

Quiet spot on the river

I'll start by saying this isn't the most glamorous campground. There isn't much going on in the area. However, the campground is kept clean. Restrooms and showers are clean. About 20 riverside pads are right on the river, 15-20ft from the water. There are another 20-30 sites (non waterfront). The sites are fairly level, with good space between them. $17/night with water and electric, a great deal.
