Right along Highway 75 in Challis National Forest, Salmon River Roadside Camp sits directly on the Salmon River with trees lining the water's edge. No vault toilets or services are available on site. Spots fill up by early evening in summer, so arriving mid-afternoon improves the odds of finding a site. No turnaround exists for vehicles towing trailers, making this a poor fit for larger rigs. Anglers and tent campers tend to do well here. Sunny Gulch Campground is less than a mile east for those wanting restroom facilities.
