Use the site description with caution

Made the reservation for 2 nights off the government site. I must say they are true to length. So true I’m sure I would not fit, but after trying 3 times to make the turn backing in we left for better camping. Site 22 is a tough get.

Great host

Was virtually empty, able to choose a great spot. Recommend bringing a saw and ax for firewood although we were able to scavenge enough. Very little wildlife but nice places to explore. Well water is cold and tasty.

Site fine but toilets were terrible

The campsite was fine, lots of trees down due to pine bark beetles. There was a picnic table on the site, no tent pads but level smooth ground. The hot springs weren't terribly far from the campground. The hot springs were shallow and could only fit about one person per pool but a wonderful place to soak for a few hours.

There were hundreds of flies in the two vault toilets at the campground!!

Nice free hot springs

Very cheap. Bring your own firewood. You could easily get multiple sites for big groups. A short hike for the smaller hot springs. You follow the same path to the better springs but it gets slightly difficult at the very end.

Easy access to Hot Springs

Many sites available and an easy hike to more hotsprings along the Payette River. Lots of tree cover. There was a forest fire in the area recently so be mindful if there's still damaged area (have not been here since 2016).

Pine Flats Campground and Hotsprings

Really awesome place for family camping. Great hike to many beautiful hotspring pools. Different times of the year, hotspring pools are easier accessible when the river is lower but still plenty to go around.
