Sheep Trail Group Campground

Fishing enthusiasts will find Sheep Trail Group Campground positioned along a creek within Challis National Forest, offering direct water access for angling opportunities. This group facility accommodates up to 99-foot RVs and operates from late May through early September at $150 per reservation.

The campground features four numbered sites typically used by a single large group, with hand-pump water, vault toilets, and dumpster service provided. Highway noise affects the area, and T-Mobile users should expect no cell coverage. Stanley lies 10 miles away for gas and supplies, while the campground lacks RV dump stations and full hookups. Pets are not permitted at this Forest Service facility, making it suitable for groups seeking creek-side camping with basic amenities and camping destinations outside Stanley nearby.

Nice group area

Very nice shaded group area. 4 # sites but it is likely used by one group at a time using all 4 sites. Vault toilet, dumpster and hand pump water. Only issue is noise from the close hwy. No cell on TMobile. 10 mi to Stanley for supplies and gas. No RV dump or full hookups.
