Mackay Reservoir Access Area - IFG

Joe T. Fallini Recreation Site (also known as Mackay Reservoir Access Area) offers 26 paved campsites with water and electric hookups. The campground provides trash bins throughout the area and a dump station located up the hill. Camping operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a $14 nightly fee, reduced to $7 with a senior pass. There's a separate area designated for tent camping. The site features shade trees at some campsites and includes a boat launch and covered picnic day use area. The recreation site is divided into two distinct camping areas, with one offering more shade options.

Mackay Reservoir offers excellent fishing opportunities with easy lake access from the campground. The reservoir is a popular destination for anglers seeking trout and other freshwater species. The site includes a boat launch that provides convenient water access for fishing from watercraft. Shore fishing is also readily available along the reservoir's edge. For the most productive fishing experience, consider visiting during early morning or evening hours when fish are typically most active.
