Black Lake Campground

Lake access drives Black Lake Campground's appeal, with the Forest Service facility positioned directly beside its namesake water body in the Payette National Forest. The established campground provides basic amenities including toilets and picnic tables, though campers should prepare for rough access roads that may challenge low-clearance vehicles.

Pet owners can bring their dogs to this paid campground, which operates under standard Forest Service regulations. The lakeside location opens up fishing and water-based recreation opportunities, though specific lake conditions vary seasonally. For those exploring the broader region, campsites near Payette National Forest offer additional options throughout this extensive forest system.
