French Creek Campground, near Cascade, Idaho, is a straightforward spot for those looking to escape into nature without the frills. This place is all about the basics, offering a peaceful environment where you can pitch a tent or park your RV and soak in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

The campground is right next to a lovely lake, making it a great spot for a quick dip or some fishing. Visitors have mentioned the beautiful scenery and the variety of wildlife, with one camper noting, “So many little critters” to enjoy while you relax. Just keep in mind that the road nearby can kick up some dust, so if you're sensitive to that, you might want to plan accordingly.

The campground is split into two sides, with one featuring a boat ramp for easy access to the water. Some sites can be reserved, but it’s best to check ahead if you’re planning to fill up a large tank, as the road can get a bit tight.

Beautiful views

Short walk to the lake beautiful views, so many little critters. Right next to the road though so a lot of cars kick up dust on the way by.

Beautiful Lake View and Access

Forest Service campground, no hookups, so be prepared. There is pressurized water (no hand pump). But it’s a 1 lane road, so if you are filling up a big tank, might block traffic.

Campground is split into two sides. The lake side has a boat ramp, but no beach area. Some sites can be reserved on recreation.gov.
