Reaching the summit takes roughly 40 minutes on foot, and the final stretch gets noticeably harder with a loaded pack. Preacher's Rock sits atop a mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest outside Suches, Georgia, with room for about three small tents at the top. No water is available at the site, and the nearest restrooms are a 40-minute hike back down. Cell service is available. Campers exploring the area can browse campgrounds around Suches or consider nearby Woody Gap Campground - Appalachian Trail as an alternative base. The site is free, fires are permitted, and dogs are welcome.
