This is a great, cozy campground! Major canopy coverage provides shade and seclusion. Many great family activities available at the visitors center. These were the CLEANEST bathhouses I’ve been to in my life.
We had a great time summer camping with our boat, RV, friends & kids! Would definitely recommend booking early snd getting one of the lots that slopes down to the water.

We stayed at site #23 for 3nights. Notice - the campground entrance is located between 2 railroad crossings and each have low ground clearance and located in turns (the turns seemed to help a bit rather than a straight on approach) - also the trains run pretty close by the campground roughly on…

Beautiful and quiet camping on the water! Campgrounds are clean and well kept with friendly keepers. We loved our camping trip and thoroughly enjoyed the trails and walking trails that cut through the campground Iron Hill.

Near some trails (waterfall is 1mi from main trailhead). Forest road is super rough from east, I recommend coming from west. Lots of tent spots along road and water. Also a good backpacking spot on trail to waterfall (probably good for beginner backpackers)
We were at spot #61 and the view and privacy was fantastic. We originally were in spot “v” but their electricity stopped working. no shade whatsoever at 61 and ANTS, ants everywhere. They managed to get in our vehicle and they swarmed our toddlers car seats. They managed to invade our camper also.…
Parking lot is very small so be on the lookout for it. Must hike in!!!
Previously you did not have to reserve a spot here. Now you do. We signed up for 9 a couple months ago. Our friends got 8 because we thought they would be next to each other. It is not. 9 was spacious enough for us and them. 2 ~14ft campers. Sites 1 and 4 are somewhat together and 6,7 & 8 would…
Don't see a camping place anywhere. Found day use recently area by the dam and some trails by the lake. Down the road there is a pay campground with a live in residence host
The Doll Mountain campground sits along side Carters Lake in North Georgia. It is an Army Corp of engineer's lake and has no homes along it's banks. It's a great place to get out into nature. Go fishing, kayaking, or both and enjoy the beautiful clean water and mountain views.
They have water Front camping on the weather and Forrest for RV’s of all sizes pull through and back in . Full hook-ups and dump station to boot . Also tent camping .
The campground is nice and well kept; however, the sites are a little too close together.
Beautiful sites but we gotta there at 5.... Told open till 10. Visitor check in closed and no directions on how you get in. Campground ended up being a few miles from check in. We weren't given coffee to get in gate.... Signs once in were one way but you couldn't tell where they wanted you to go.…
If you are into boating and have a 30’ or less camper or like to tent camp this is the place for you. There are several lake front sites, both with power/water hookups and primitive tent sites. If you have a larger RV (35’ or bigger) your choice of sites is limited. There are only 2 sites (59 &…

We love Vogel! My husband and I grew up going to Vogel as children, and now get to take our little guy and watch him fall in love with it like we did. Clean facilities, hiking trails, swimming lake, creeks, and so much more. It’s a family favorite for us!!
