Nice view of lake when site across the lane isn't occupied. Restrooms/ showers cleaned and relatively maintained (1 shower curtain missing) , debris free paved lanes to all sites. Spot 80 had good afternoon shade. Trees block heavy winds from north and west. Fire pit may fill 1/2 way from heavy rain/ ground water.

All RV sites have a lake view. Full hook ups. State Park has a Ranger to check you in and gate is closed 10:30pm-7am. Reservations must be made online, set up user name, confirm thru your email and if your cell service is poor it can be tricky but well worth the work.

We’ve been here twice now. It’s a fun location, even without having a boat on the lake. Most sites have lake access so you can swim or float right there, plus have some wooded privacy from neighbors.
Site 38 is very open but huge! And you’re right by the campground beach area.
Site 22 is very secluded in a wooded loop, a little above the lake. You can walk down to see an amazing sunset from this side & there’s a tiny semi-private beach area. Site 28 is semi-private but right next to a mini beach/cove area.
All 3 sites had redeeming qualities.
I believe there’s only 2 laundry machines in the whole campground. But it’s not a large campground & most people are definitely week-enders.
Great, simple, inexpensive campground to enjoy Lake Lanier.

This is the best campground on Lake Lanier. Nearly every site is on the Lake, with access to the water. The sites are very well maintained.

We come here often, as it’s only a 35 minute drive from home!

My son and I stayed at site number 35 and have the most amazing views. Lots were large with a few trees between them, but there’s not much privacy. Most lots have lake access and 35 did not disappoint there. This was a great lot for hammocks as well. Would definitely choose this site again.

Took my parents camping at Bald Ridge and we are all living the trip. Site #78 is at the back of the grounds so it’s quiet, secluded and there is a pathway to the lake which is just though some trees and viewable from the site. No bugs for us.

Camped right on the lake in my hammock. I reccomend hammock or RV. You're not allowed to set up tents off of the concrete pad so it would be a bit uncomfortable. Super easy to swim, kayak, waterski in the lake. No alcohol allowed but no one came by my campsite all evening.

Plenty of firewood at the site and at nearby gas stations. You can also burn deadwood and I found plenty of that as well.

We stayed for 4 days. The first 3 were sunny during the day and a bit of the chilly side at night. So in other words, perfect camping weather. Day 4, rain but that was ok too. All in all we had a great time!

First time here, but already in love with this place, campsite we are in literally a few feet from the water, nice room in between sites. Bath houses are super clean. The campground is maintained very well , my only complaint would be there are several fallen trees that need cleaned up, some are taking away the scenery at certain sites. Town is not far, cell service on Verizon is 2 bars at best. Campsite has concrete level pad, water, 30/50 amp service, grill, lantern pole and fire ring

Stayed three times August- October with kayaks. Two times had nice lake proximity/view. Beach is nice for the kids. Single dump station tends to line up on Sunday but I suppose that’s part of the deal.

Rangers were very nice, beach is cool, nice lake front sites. We had a fun time here, especially the kids. They loved riding their bikes around in this great family friendly campground.

This is without a doubt the nicest campground we've stayed at on Lake Lanier. Most spots are on the water. They also have nicely mowed grass and some trees. Campground is VERY clean. Nice level spots also. We did some driving around to pick out our favorite spots. We’ve stayed at spot #54. HUGE SPOT right on the lake with easy access. Shade is limited. We will be going back in September for 2 weeks on staying at #54. We will be going back again in October to stay for 2 more weeks and staying at spot #56. It is very private, has plenty of trees to provide shade and also has easy lake access.

Our campsite was perfect. It was right on the lake with a beautiful view. It has a path that goes down to the lake. A lot of the sites are on the lake and most sites offer ample shade. The site was level and flat and had fine gravel to avoid muddy area if it rains. There is a playground if you have small children. Easy access to lake to fish, swim, kayak, and boating. The bathrooms are dated, but clean. There is a wide Trail for walkers and bikers around the perimeter of the lake. We saw sunsets and sunrises from near our site.

We were able to hike and boat and explore with no issues for me. The showers and restrooms were easy to navigate around. This was a quiet gem.

Once you have checked in you can relax... until you have to check out... This place is such a beautiful place to camp! I went tent camping here, and it was nice and clean, and well maintained, I was in a tent, so i cant really remember if there was full hookups or anything.. However the staff over complicated check in, and i felt extremely stressed when i was checking in, and out. If they hire more friendly camp hosts, then i would be glad to come back, however until then, The scenery will bring me back! This place was lovely for the family to get along, and have a nice laid back camping experience, too bad the staff could quickly ruin your relaxation with their horrible attitudes

We have stayed here several times now and love it. Our sites have all been lake-side and very large with a paved drive. There is hiking around the shore line and lots of ducks in the lake to feed (Shh!) There is a playground and bathroom facilities with laundry. Sites have water and electric hookups. There is a dump station near entrance. People are always friendly there. We like to kayak to islands, collect rocks and take lots of pictures. Water is warm, a little muddy by shore but clear as you get further out. There are lots of boats zipping around the Lake so beware if you are kayaking or canoeing. We were recently there and someone set up a movie night on the lawn which was really nice. At 4th of July weekend there were lots of fireworks to see. What an awesome place to cool off in the summer.
