Accessible via paved roads within the Oconee Wildlife Management Area, Lawrence Shoals Park Public Rec Area operates year-round under Georgia Department of Natural Resources management. The established campground provides electric and water hookups for RVs, along with restroom facilities, hot showers, and a dump station. Pets accompany campers throughout the grounds.
Located near the lake, the park includes laundry facilities for extended stays. Campers can explore additional campgrounds around Oconee Wildlife Management Area throughout the wildlife management area. Paid camping requires advance planning during peak seasons.
Description
Lawrence Shoals Park, located on Lake Oconee has a full-service campground with water and electrical hookups. We offer picnic table and grill, comfort stations with hot showers, washers/dryers, soft drink machines, ice, pay telephones, R/V dump stations, and camper and boat storage. In addition, the park offers playgrounds, boat docks for camper's use only, and trails to beach and guest house. Beach and picnic areas boast white sand beaches with marked swimming areas and pavilions with barbecue pits.
