Gravel sites spread across an open loop within Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest, where full hookups and generator use accommodate RVs of any size. The campground sits adjacent to a road with minimal traffic, though one reviewer noted limited cell service with AT&T showing just one bar. Sites lack natural barriers between them but offer ample space, with site #3 positioned at the best location in the loop according to recent visitors.
Chemical toilets serve the campground, while non-potable water is available at nearby horse corrals. The forested setting includes dense low-growing trees that obstruct prairie views, though solar conditions remain excellent for those with panels. Reservations are required for this $9-per-night facility managed by the Florida Forest Service.
