Free and hike-in only, Frog Hammock sits within the Everglades and Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area, managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. No fee, no vehicle access, and no developed facilities define the experience here. Campers should come fully self-sufficient, carrying all water, food, and gear on foot. The dry season, roughly November through April, is the recommended window before heat and mosquito pressure make conditions considerably harder.
