Military families and their guests find themselves just steps from lake water at Camp Blanding RV Park, where some sites sit approximately 10 feet from the shoreline. This military-managed facility requires base access and military sponsorship for all campers.
The lakefront location drives much of the activity here. Campers can rent kayaks and paddleboards at the registration building, while the on-site boat launch accommodates larger watercraft. "All water sports, including fishing, boat launch, Jet skis, etc.. plenty of room to swim," notes Greg S.. Some waterfront sites allow campers to pull boats directly up to their camping area. Two sets of swings and a dock provide additional lakeside amenities.
The campground features full hookups and spreads sites across the property with fire pits and grills. Paved roads make the area suitable for children's bicycles and easy RV navigation. Quonset huts offer an alternative to traditional RV camping for families wanting more space. Clean bathrooms serve the camping area.
For those exploring beyond the base, places to camp near Starke include Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park Campground & Cabins and Starke-Gainesville NE KOA. This location works best for military families seeking lakefront camping with water recreation access.
