Salem Farms Campground

Salem Farms Campground operates as a seasonal private facility from May through Columbus Day, accommodating RVs up to 60 feet with full electric and water hookups. Located in Salem, Connecticut, the campground charges $68-$72 per night and accepts reservations for both RV and tent sites.

The facility maintains clean restrooms and showers, with tent campers often choosing spots near these amenities and the pool area. Two swimming pools serve as central gathering points, along with recreational equipment available at no additional charge and mini-golf facilities. Fire pits constructed from large rocks provide ample space for evening campfires. Sites vary in size, with most offering adequate room for setup, though some locations near the road may present spacing challenges for larger rigs.

Weekday visits tend to be notably quieter than weekends, according to camper feedback. The campground hosts both seasonal and transient campers, with staff described as responsive to maintenance issues. Tara K. notes "Everything was clean and well kept." Nearby attractions include Devil's Hopyard State Park and Gillette Castle, while Rocky Neck State Park sits about 25 minutes away by car.

Mid-week specials offer a third night free with two-night stays, making extended visits more economical for budget-conscious campers.

Wonderful family place!

We went tent camping with 3 other families. Loved the tent area and how close it was for the kids to use the pool and facilities. Everything was clean and well kept. We felt safe allowing the kids to go ride bikes and go mini golfing. We will definitely be back next year!

Nice campground, great location

I try to go here every summer with my two preteen grandsons. We tent close to the restroom and the pool, which are very clean. We go mid week and the special is pay 2 nights, get third night free. Devils Hopyard and Gillette Castle are close and Rocky Neck State Park is about a 25 minute ride

Quiet, clean and friendly

We stayed for 4 nights during the week, and it was the quietest campground we've ever stayed in. We were told by a seasonal that its a whole different story on the weekend. There are 2 pools and lots of games that they provide the equipment for for free. Bathrooms were clean. Most sites are a good size. Fire pits are nice and big made with large rocks.

A lot of it is seasonal, but it didn't feel like it like others we've stayed in. People were friendly.

The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. A branch fell on the camper, and the owners son came right down and checked it out.

Our only complaint would be the spot they put the 5th wheel our cousin brought. It was too close to the road, and they wouldn't let him pull in so we were facing each other even though it would have easily worked out.
