Mashamoquet Brook Campground — Mashamoquet Brook State Park

Within Mashamoquet Brook State Park, this state-managed campground operates seasonally from late May through early September at $14 per night. The forested site provides full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections for RVs, plus standard amenities like restrooms, showers, and a dump station.

Campers access the river within a short walk from their sites. The campground includes two distinct camping areas—one near a lake or river section, another surrounded by trees along the water. A roving worker handles the informal check-in process rather than maintaining a staffed office. Hikers can explore park trails, while swimmers have water access nearby. Reservations help secure spots during the limited operating season.

Pretty, but loud

Campground was great. Site was in great shape, everything in order. Portapotties were large. The road made the trip horrible for peace and quiet lovers. I knew it was close to the road, but right on top of it AND a heavily traveled route.

Clean and quiet

This campground was spacious, a short walk from the river and had clean bathrooms. Only $5 a night, can’t beat that! Not a real check in place, just a campground worker that drives by every once in a while and will collect info. There’s two spots to camp at one has a lake/ river the other has a river and is surrounded by trees, both beautiful sections and short distances apart.
