San Juan National Forest manages Sultan Dispersed, a free drive-in site along a road corridor that also serves several nearby dispersed areas, including Golden Hour Dispersed just 0.2 miles south. The site sits next to a creek, and spots facing the water fill fast. On holiday weekends, expect competition for space. Cell service is available, campfires are permitted, and pets are welcome. Arrive early, especially around major holidays, to have a realistic shot at a creekside position.
