Red Mountain Creek

We have a stock rav4. We were able to get to it easily. Gorgeous scenery. Very quiet. Loved the trees and the water running by.

Settle traffic of 550 with a maze of nooks riddled with car campers sleeping out to sprinter vans galore and some areas plenty of room for a toy hauler. Dirt bikes roll by slowly on their way wherever. Red river flow is small stream big cool. My spot nestled in the pines was quite nice.

We had a great time! The creek and its sound is beautiful. The view of the mountains are awesome too. The only thing is that there are a lot of people ATVing, and most people camping there are there to take their ATVs out so it can be noisy throughout the day and night!

Easy spot to find came in around 7pm. Stayed right on the creek. Is a bit noisy and dusty as people do ride atvs here. We did have someone about 30 feet from us. Stayed on july 4th weekend

Right off the side of the road! Great for an intermediate spot between traveling! Or just a little tired. Nothing fancy but good free spot to camp.

This was our favorite site in our 10 day camping trip we did this summer. Camping right on the creek with a cool night breeze was amazing. It is a very busy spot but we found a spot on the creek for our RTT even pulling in late at night. It is a pretty large area so even lots of big RVs were here. 10/10

This site is very accessible and has tons of spots. It also seems to be the closest place to legally disperse camp south of Ouray. However, there's a ton of road noise from both the highway and the unpaved roads used to access campsites. Conditions were also very dusty from traffic on the unpaved roads. Lastly, it's tough to find private areas to pee that are also a safe distance away from the creek. Nice views, though!

Amazing view and right along the creek. Spaces were tight and very close to others. A bit noisy with the ATVs and motorcycles all around, but not too bad.
