Ironton dispersed camping is located in the San Juan National Forest in southwestern Colorado. The area is situated near the historic Ironton mining district, south of Ouray along the Million Dollar Highway (US-550). This dispersed camping area is nestled in the scenic San Juan Mountains, offering access to numerous hiking trails, off-road vehicle routes, and beautiful mountain views. Ironton dispersed camping offers minimal facilities as it's a true dispersed camping experience.
