Overview
Poudre River Resort is a privately owned, year-round resort nestled along the Cache La Poudre River on Colorado Highway 14, approximately 35 miles northwest of Fort Collins in Poudre Canyon. The property offers a mix of accommodations including furnished cabins (studio through 4-bedroom), full-hookup RV sites, tent sites, and glamping bell tents, making it suitable for solo travelers, families, and larger groups.
Facilities
RV sites accommodate rigs up to 35 feet with full hookups (water, sewer, 30A/50A electric); note that all RV sites are back-in only with no pull-through access, and RV site availability runs May 15 through November 15. Tent sites each include a fire pit and picnic table with access to over 500 feet of riverfront; vehicle access is not permitted at tent sites overnight, with wagons provided for gear transport. A central hot tub, shower and bathroom facilities, and a general store (stocking snacks, ice, firewood, propane, souvenirs, and fishing tackle) are available on property. Wi-Fi is available. A playground and volleyball court are on site.
Recreation
On-site river trout fishing is a primary draw along the Cache La Poudre River. The surrounding Poudre Canyon area offers hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, river rafting, hunting, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, with National Forest land accessible within walking distance.
