Description
Near the upper end of Montezuma Road (CR 5) in White River National Forest, this roadside pullout sits at roughly 10,500 feet in a high-alpine corridor flanked by Glacier Mountain to the west and Santa Fe Peak to the east, with the Snake River running just below. The pull-off is unsigned and unsigned-only — most of the road carries no-parking and no-camping postings — so it stands out as a rare legal stop along an otherwise restricted stretch. A modest amount of leveling is needed, but the spot accommodates vans and rigs somewhat larger; a seasonal road closure a few hundred yards up keeps through-traffic minimal.
