Miners Creek Rd Designated Dispersed Camping

Dispersed camping is allowed along Miners Creek Road in designated areas. Follow Miners Creek Road until it intersects with the Temple Trail (bike path). You're permitted to cross the bike path with your vehicle and continue past a porta-potty and public parking area. The designated camping spots are located approximately 2-3 miles down this dirt road. Look for signs indicating where dispersed camping is permitted, as camping is only allowed in these designated areas.

From Frisco, access Miners Creek Road which leads directly to the campground. The road requires vehicles with good ground clearance as it has rough sections with large holes and washouts. The campground is located a few miles down the dirt road after crossing the Temple Trail bike path. Be prepared for narrow passages with overgrowth that might cause pinstriping on larger vehicles.
