Dispersed and primitive camping

Couldn’t find any designated camping spots, but if you keep driving there’re so many spots that are just pull offs. You can sleep there for a weekend. Some are big enough for 2 cars and tents. No bathroom or fire ring. Pack in pack out. Mosquitos were relentless. Views were beautiful.

Sunset View

Passing through on my way out of Colorado and was seeing the Thomas Dambo trolls and stopped for the evening before continuing to Rocky Mountains National Park.

Closed road

Unable to access sites on road as it is completely closed after the trailhead. But when it reopens, this is going to be an awesome spot. Nice and close to breck village and beautiful alpine views of the lake below. Just be careful if you are also an Apple Maps user, the directions did not put me in the right spot so be sure to use another service or directly the coordinates.

Sleep in car only - park on the edge of a cliff with breathtaking views

Just one mile further up the road or so you will reach Destinated camp sites which I prefer.

Although I saw 5 camp cars parked on the side of the road (this is a Monday night) facing the cliff that night and like 2 the next morning when I left for work. I was jealous a little bit of their views
