Bust

I followed the directions to the coordinates. It led me to beaver creek base and then up a dirt road to an eventual closed road with no parking signs. Didn't feel like a good place to camp due to it being private resort property. Not sure where you are supposed to park in order to hike to the cabin.

Colorado’s best kept secrets

This hike/camping experience is one that you'll only know from being a local. The elevation gain about 2,000 ft. and the line shack is about 4.5 miles one way. It's open to XC skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.  This is also a hunting cabin too. First come, first serve. 

The line shack sits on the top of the mountain or the end of the trail. It has a wood stove, bunk beds, and a very small kitchen. This is such a unique place with amazing views of the Gore Mountain Range and Beaver Creek ski area.  Know your route before you go and bring all the proper equiptment. Pack it in - pack it out!
