Hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrian riders have direct access to trails from this dispersed camping area in the Pike National Forest outside Divide, Colorado. The approach runs a couple miles off the highway on county roads, which are manageable for most vehicles, though the site can be tricky to locate after dark. A green gate marked "no parking" is the actual entry point; open it, drive through, and close it behind you. The first pull-through spot is large enough for big rigs but tends to accumulate horse manure from equestrian use. Morning foot traffic from local dog walkers picks up regularly. No bathrooms on site, and Verizon users can expect roughly one bar of cell signal.
