Colorado River Road Dispersed near Lyons Gulch (BLM)

This stretch of BLM land along the Colorado River Road (CR 301) sits in the narrow river corridor west of Dotsero, where cottonwood-lined banks and the sound of rapids define the setting more than any developed amenity. Several informal pullouts north of Lyons Gulch Campground offer direct river access — one walk-in site sits just steps from the water, and a lower spot along the same track has a picnic table and fire pit. The access road is suited to vans and overland rigs; tight turnarounds make it a poor fit for larger trailers or motorhomes.
