Boreas Pass site 21

Hiking and biking trails along Boreas Pass Road draw consistent traffic, so expect cars and hikers moving through even on weekday visits. Site 21 sits a bit further down the road than the first cluster of sites, giving it more space and open sightlines. The entry pull-in includes a steep hill worth noting before arrival. A standard crossover SUV handled it without issue. Campers wanting dispersed alternatives nearby can look at Boreas Pass Dispersed to the northwest.

Perfect location super easy to access

Stunning views and drive all around, very easy to access from Breckenridge, and quiet.

Bear boxes at all sites. One narrow passages on the way that will only allow one vehicle at a time so expect needing to yield.

The drive up is not as bumpy as I expected it to be, so a sedan could make it.

Boreas Pass site 21

Arrived on a Friday afternoon, most of the first sites were claimed by then. Busy area, lots of cars and hikers passing through. Site 21 is a little ways down Boreas Pass road, off to the side with great views and lots space. The site is pretty easy to get to, but there is a steep hill when pulling into the site to be mindful of. A Nissan rogue made it just fine.
