BLM Rocky Reservoir Campground sits within BLM Land managed by the Little Snake Field Office, accessed via County Roads 10N and 72 (both good gravel) and a final two-track with large boulders and a notable tilt. That two-track crosses Colorado State Trust Land, meaning a valid Colorado fishing or hunting license is required to pass through. The campground has six sites, with sites 3, 5, and 6 noted as the most level. No fee. The single outhouse is clean and well stocked. Daytime OHV activity occurs in the area, though nights are quiet. Hunting season likely brings heavier use. Campers interested in places to camp near BLM Land — Little Snake Field Office will find the nearby Gates Of Lodore Campground — Dinosaur National Monument worth considering as an alternative base.
